Post Surgery Update 2

TC’s son, RJ, reading the word of the Lord to him.

This morning, they woke TC up in his ICU room. He was in considerable pain, so they are managing it with pain killers. The doctors and medical staff say he is doing very well. They were able to lower the temperate in his room to around 75 degrees. TC, being his usual self already, has been communicating by writing on his tablet. He will remain in the ICU for now. He can only have two visitors at a time. Liza and his three sons are there and are taking shifts staying in the room with him.

At around noon today, the physical therapist came to his room and had him sit up for a few minutes, then stand up with his walker for about a minute. The therapist told TC if he couldn’t do either thing, to let him know. TC said, “I’m not a quitter! Don’t let me quit!” He spoke those actual words. That is an amazing sign, but shouldn’t be a surprise for all of us who know TC.

Keep the positive thoughts and prayers coming, they are clearly helping. Also, please no phone calls or visitors at this time. Text messages are still fine, but it will continue to take a while for them to be answered. THANK YOU to everyone.
